Running again.

 With all of the activities we've had the past couple of weeks I haven't been able to get much running in so today when I got home from work I dropped everything that needed to get done and went for a three mile run. It's not much compared to what I've been able to do but after two weeks off I was scared to go any further. I explored a new route and I love it. I get to run over some fairly remote trails and I feel like I'm out in the country side. This is a picture from the trail I was on and it is only three miles. I love San Diego and Penasquitos in particular.

So I need to explain this picture. Before Alycia's graduation picked up some fertilizer because my lawn was getting a bit brown. Unfortunately something in the back of the van punctured a hole in the back and some of the fertilizer leaked out. Rather than throw it all out I did my best to spread it evenly over the front lawn. When we got back from Alycia's graduation this is what we saw. First, it looks like the lawn really needed some nitrogen and second, apparently I wasn't nearly as uniform as I thought I was.


I know I blogged about our mothers day Skype call but I totally forgot to put up some of the screen shots that I took. Lisa talked all about the call on her blog entry but I thought I'd share some of my more favorite pictures.

It appears that some of us were starting to fade by the end of the call. It was so much fun for all of us to be together even though we're thousands of miles apart.
