Oh Tannenbaum

We got our Christmas Tree today. I spent most of the day in the garage digging it out but this evening we took Sarah and the three of us bought a tree. It was fun it just isn't the same as when we used to go and pick out a tree with six kids. Oh well. It was late and I'm tired so instead of decorating the tree we put it in the stand, gave it a drink and then watched TV. Tomorrow I get to launch the star fleet. I'm so excited.

The first decorated Christmas tree was at Riga in Latvia, in 1510. In the early 16th century, Martin Luther is said to have decorated a small Christmas Tree with candles, to show his children how the stars twinkled through the dark night. The words to the song "O Tannenbaum" date back to 1550.

You are just like my dad.....Christmas is not Christmas without a real tree. : D

Me? I like my tree up for almost two months.....so need the fake one.......otherwise I am vacuuming up dead needles constantly by Christmas day. ; D

GREAT tree by the way. Now there is no way a fake one can look THAT good.
